Mini Garlic Laccha Paratha / Garlic Flatbread

This simple recipe creates our family favorite flavorful flaky flatbread. It uses the regular Roti / Chapati dough and will make your daily lunch or dinner ever so special. Enjoy it with your curry or raita or just like that.






Yield: 8 pieces.

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients for the Dough
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 -1 cup water.
  • 1 tsp salt

Ingredients for the Garlic Spread
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder or 1 garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh coriander
  • Pinch of Salt
 
Procedure

1.  Take whole wheat flour in a bowl...add salt...mix and gradually add required water to make a soft dough

2.  Cover and set aside for 5 minutes while you prepare the garlic spread.

3.   For the garlic spread melt the butter, add garlic powder and salt to prepare the garlic spread.(if you don't want to add garlic just use butter,salt and some chilli powder)

4. Divide dough into balls.

5. Take a ball of dough and roll it in a long shape.

6. Apply the garlic butter/regular butter to the prepared roti...dust with  some flour.

7. Pick up an edge and roll into a tight long tube.

8. Flatten it and then roll like a cinnamon bun.

9. Finally roll it into a round paratha shape.(don't thin it out too much..keep it slightly thick)

10. Cook on a medium hot tava flipping it to cook evenly on both side...brush with some oil or butter while cooking too

11. Apply some more garlic spread and serve hot.
