This homemade Pita bread recipe is very easy to make, and requires a few ingredients that you may already have.
The procedure is so straightforward: mix up a dough, let it rise, do a quick bake and you are ready to enjoy soft, fluffy, puffy homemade Pita breads.
The texture of this bread is soft, fluffy, with a light chew which can be folded without cracking.
Perfect to stuff the entire pocket with Falafels or any other stuffing.

They can be made in an oven, or on a stovetop. These are freezer friendly, you can even prepare the dough ahead of time and keep it in the fridge.
These are far superior to any Pita bread you get in the grocery store.

9. After 15 minutes, place the prepared Pita breads on the preheated pan with the parchment paper for 3-4 minutes. If you like less browning, take them out in 2-3 minutes.

10. If you plan to cook on stovetop, heat the griddle / tawa nicely. Place the Pita bread on it ( without the parchment paper ) and cook for 2-3 minutes on both sides ( keep flipping ).

11. The Pita's are ready to be enjoyed, make sure to always keep them covered for freshness and softness.
